AHMEDABAD: Health facilities in Ahmedabad are struggling against the second wave of corona virus. New cases reported daily in the city are breaking its old record. The number of positive cases has risen alarmingly despite the government taking drastic measures, including night curfews, to prevent the spread of coronary heart disease. According to government figures, Ahmedabad district has come up with an all-time high of 5864 new corona positive cases in the last 24 hours. Of these, 5790 are in urban areas and 74 in rural areas. At the same time, 2 deaths have been reported in Ahmedabad district and 27 in urban areas for a total of 29 deaths.
However, the relief is that in a single day, 1590 patients in Ahmedabad city and 54 patients in rural areas have succeeded in beating Corona. In 24 hours, 1644 patients recovered and were discharged.

With the addition of new cases, the total number of corona infections in Ahmedabad city and district has risen to 1,32,629. The deadly virus has so far infected 2,791 people in the district. However 86,959 coronary artery patients have been discharged after recovery.
Along with the increase in the number of coronaviruses in Ahmedabad, the number of micro containment zones is also increasing. A further 9 areas have been placed under containment in view of the state of corona transition in the city. In which 550 residents living in 150 houses of Bhugedi Pol in Jamalpur area have been placed under containment.
Corona, on the other hand, has liberated 22 areas of the city from containment as the transition situation is under control. At the same time, the number of micro containment zones in the city has increased to 369.
